One of my biggest goals for this year was to give back to the community. I know what it’s like to be in a position where you have a lot of responsibility and you’re the only person who can make it happen. Always challenging!
In the past 5 years I’ve realized that I wouldn’t be where I am today without asking for help as well as being receptive to receiving help from the right people. Allowing myself to be helped (mentored) has helped me grow personally and professionally.
Simply put, I’m more aware of the person I am and the person I’m becoming through connecting with the right people.
I’ve always had a deep appreciation for creativity, more specifically fashion! Giving back and mentoring is something I’m passionate about and would like to extend to a high school senior who is passionate about studying fashion (or anything creative!) in college.
The costs of higher education have increased so much over the years and I understand it’s difficult for both students and their families to support dreams. I’d like to offer a $1000.00 scholarship (per year, for one student) who is just as passionate about pursuing a creative career.
Every little bit helps so I’m hoping my contribution will help both students and their families with easing the costs of higher education.
- High school students who’ve maintained B+ averages or higher.
- Actively involved in their community and have performed volunteer work.
- Pursuing a degree in a creative field. Fashion, specifically is a plus!
- Students who reside in the USA.
- Submissions before December 15th 2016.
Interested or know someone who might be? Please contact me today with your name, email address, and phone number. Looking forward to connecting with prospective applicants and hearing their stories, dreams, and future aspirations. Thanks!
